Meet the Team

Having operated in senior leadership roles in the Energy sector for many years, Jo and Hayley have both forged their own paths and built portfolio careers within the sector. Having listened to too many turgid and uninspiring sessions at industry conferences and events, whilst individually receiving fantastic feedback from clients and organisers, they decided to set up Speaking with Energy to help bring value and engagement to events within and outside the sector .

Having held leadership roles in the sector for many years, Jo, a qualified accountant, has now built a portfolio career consisting of several Non Executive Directorships and advisory roles with the transition to net zero being the common theme running through all her roles.

Jo passionately believes that diversity in people and leadership are critical to business success and is a strong advocate in the proactive development of careers. She is a co-founder and Director of the Womens Utilities Network (WUN) and a proactive mentor, ally and developer of networks across the sector.

With two adult daughters now forging their own careers, Jo's time outside work is spent rowing, playing her cello and piano, and travelling with her husband in their cool campervan, Herbert.
